How do I get OpenOffice to use the True Type fonts that I have installed in MS Office 97 and Lotus SmartSuite that are in the Windows Application folder and use Crossover Office?
OpenOffice is only showing 15 fonts, and they are all AA font types.
Thanks in advance.

There is a howto on fonts here on the forum. I can't remember which area its in. I used fonts from a copy of Word Perfect 8 for Windows and the fonts from Crossover. The fonts you need from Crossover are in the following location
/home/username/.cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/Windows/Fonts
Substitute your username of course.
Look for the explanation on fonts here. You can run it as many times as you like to add more. At least thats what I did and it worked for me. Now I see them all in Open Office and most everything thing else too. |

Well, after spending a couple of hours at the Houston LUG group last night, members there were able to get OpenOffice to accept the TTF fonts from Microsoft Office 97 and Lotus SmartSuite.
However, Comic Sans MS is not in the OOo Writer list of fonts. Why is that?
Also, when I open the drop down arrow, the Luxi fonts have several question marks after their names. Why is that?
Thanks in advance for any explanations.

Got the following prompt from CXOffice when I tried to install the fonts:
Anyone ever seen something so crazy? |
