Hi,
From what I saw on the website, it seems to me that Xandros is mostly desktop oriented. But does it have development programs, compilators and editors, like other Linux distributions? |

Yes it does. A lot of development packages are included on the CD and are installed with the full desktop install. Any packages that are not on the CD can be gotten using the Debian sources in Xandros Update / apt-get

I just ordered the OS. I didn't use it yet but it looks great, I always wanted to mix the conviviality of Windows with the flexibility of Linux. I hope to receive it soon!
Another question, are updates free? I mean... will I have to pay for Xandros 2.0 like I have to do with any Microsoft product? |
