What is the best way to back up Xandros 4.5?
I have tried Clonezilla which has worked in the past on other distros but it keeps failing on me. I have tried Mondo which again I used on other distros but the backup goes fine the restore always fails. I thought of using dd but I am going to a different sized drive and I have never done that. I will be moving Xandros to another drive which is smaller but faster than where it lives now. Anyone have good instructions I don’t mind doing it manually as long as I know it works.
A little background this is on my laptop I will be doing the backup through an external USB drive so I will have to back up to an external hard drive swap the drives and then do the restore. _________________

Seagate DiscWizard works quiet well on dual boot sytems.
However, Windows and at least one Seagete HDD is required.
And it cannot clone from a larger to a smaller drive. _________________ Linux User #432929

Unfortunately I don’t have Windows and I am going from large to small so in this case it is not going to help. Thanks for answering though I will keep that one in mind for the future. _________________
