Hi,
I would like to install MySql on an Asus Eeepc running Xandros Linux.
There are a number of different Linux options on the MySql download page, but I am not sure which I should be using (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html#downloads).
Could someone please tell me which version of MySql I should be using on my Asus eeepc running on Xandros Linux?
Many thanks in advance.

Have you looked in the repository? It may not be the latest but it should be in there. Then you could use synaptic or apt to install it. try apt-cache search mysql _________________

Hi, sorry but I'm still struggling getting mysql running on Linux.
I used synaptic to install mysql-common files, and now have a file /etc/mysql that contains my.cnf & a conf.d
But am not sure where I should be going from here.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.
