hey zaoka, welcome to the Xandros forum! sorry i am late for response, i really didn't see this post sorry
So here it goes
RealPlayer: don't use that junk, use xandros music manager (in commercial version) or get rhythmbox for OCE (go to xandros networks type "rhythmbox" and download/install) and then just use video player for movies. Remove realplayer with xandros networks, trust me its worthless
Firefox 3: http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:installfirefox3
if it is too hard to do, just use opera, it works perfectly fine without updating gtk and that stuff http://www.opera.com/browser/ plus opera intergrates better in xandros then firefox and opera is a bit faster and safer.
Flashplayer: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashplayer10/flashplayer10_install_linux_081108.tar.gz extract it, then click on the flashplayer installer
Java:http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com:80#lin download the self extracting one, then go into console do su then password, then type (change user to your name)
| Code: | | cd /home/user/Desktop |
| Code: | chmod +x jre-6u14-linux-i586.bin
|
hope this helps! if this is too hard, its understandable, xandros is a bit old
hope this helps, have a nice day! |

firefox is part of xandros and you can update it easy with xandros networks
you can also use the search function of xandros networks to find compareable linux version of windows programs and best of all most of them are free _________________ the only stupid question there is is the question that is not asked!
