i enabled full desktop and now i can't see if i'm connected to the internet or not on the little bar at the bottom of the screen. What do i do to get it back?

P.S. I know it's possible because i did it once before but i just cant remember how

It is years since I used Xandros but you might be able to bring the desktop back with the ESC key or perhaps one of the function keys - try F11

I would try resetting the video driver....

I had enabled special effects on my desktop...and my USB mouse went haywire.
I reset my video driver to the same one I was already using...anf rebooted.
It has worked fine ever since.
I know the mine and your symptoms ar somewhat different....but it won't hurt your system...and it may just do the trick.
