how do i get more disk space in disk utility?
will uninstalling wine help?

It should help a little, but I wouldn't think wine would take up all that much space. How much free space are you down to, and what have you installed?

im down to 4 percent and i dont know what is taking up so much space.

I've seen a couple of instances where one of those error message files gets out of hand. Specifically, have a look in your home folder. Do you see a file called .xsession-errors? Is it enormous? If so, just delete it. I'm not sure what makes it get so big, but it's harmless to delete it; the system will just create another one when it's needed.

What I posted or What Glenn posted?

Each user has a trash Can on the desktop in a Xandros install Click on each as you log in as each user and Empty the Trash.

Regarding /tmp /var/cache/ and the like They Are Directories.
Open your FIleManager in SuperUser Mode and navigate to those Directories (folders) and clean out the Junk.

It's been a while, but doesn't Xandros File Manager have file size view? Go to View -> View Mode -> File Size View , and that will quickly show what's using up room.
