a user tell me to provide mino how to for manage packages without using the non-inteligent xandros network!

but in the post i wrote about quickly fix the issue

but in mini way, so theres a extended version:
TEORY:
firts added the oficial xandros repo (i supost u already have je je but..) and then the archive debian repost, so all these must be added o and archive, the sources.list, and then must be update the DB package for get all available soft.. so now the process:
PROCESS:
1) open a konsole from system menu : menu -> aplications -> systems -> konsole
2) type command "su"
the terminal ask for root (not admin, its root ok) passwrod, give to it, write and hit enter!
3) u become root now, caution ok, so then lest added the repost, open the sorces.list with a editor with command "mcedit" or "cooledit":

a editor console open a file, if only xandors lines are writes, added normaly these lines :
these lines will enabled debian sarge packages repositories for xandros 4.1 and 4.0. but carefully, xandros servicepak must be instaled firts ok!
4) now write the file (nano are crtl+C and/or cooledit are F2) hitting the F2 key and comfirm.
5) now lest populate the DB package, now run the command:
this command will download all indexeds list of packages for debian archives..
6) now u must install a realy true package manager, the APTITUDE !! type and run this command:

confirm the instalation and waith, after ends, run aptitue..
USAGE APTITUDE:
aptitude opens a conole based frontend for manage packages, work great in xandros, with enter u can open to view the current position of cursor package shows, and with "q" u exit fron this!, easy, for install u hit "g" and a preview will show, for confirm hit again "g" and packages to install will be downloaded.
The principal diference are that aptitude sohws ALL VERSIONS OF a package, so u can install other version of package, xandros network only can permit to install the most recent! |

oh! of course, i remenber that the backported packages from debian.backports dont install , mut be made pinning for preselection....

the theme are taken from kdelook org and complete the missing stuff! this package will conver the desktop to xandr-massenkoh, so u must use aptitude
for sarge&xandr added this line entry to sources.list :

the theme will install everithing, ksplash, kdm login, splashy bootsplash, colors, styles, kwin windows dekorator, icons, ktheme manager theme combo, and some default settings! only for xandr 4.1 and 4.0, not for 4.5!
