well i remember that mayority of xandros users dont hav hands and fingers!!!

the repository has two, for etch and for sarge, u must added correct entry ok! (uff if u read first before write!!) the packages for discontinued sarge and xandros are here http://triviazus.com/venenux/vnzpacks/piccoro/ u can find mupen64plus, xmame, kxmame, kvba, vba, kfceu, libcegui, openscene, ALL ISO CONVERTERS like mdf2iso, nrg2iso, bwi2iso, kiso, cdd2iso, also k3b K3B 1.0.4!!! and gwenview, avifile, w32codecs, lame, faad, ffmpeg 2007, xmms, 1.2.11!!! and more comming in january!!!

ok for linux users that knows aptitude and apt, follow this guide:

open a konsole

type "su "

insert root (not administrador ok, its ROOT!!) password..

type and run "edit /etc/apt/sources.list"

added the vnz massenkoh repositories THIS ENTRY NOT ETCH ENTRY!

"deb http://triviazus.com/venenux/vnzpacks/piccoro ./ "

write file or save and close file

type and run "apt-get update"

now u can added the most recent emulators and suites for discontinued xandros, i have xandros , i have 4.1 (4.0 + sp) and its old! backports and sarge are disc0ontinued so, and redrun packages are bad (and non-professionaly) packages, so i made packages for this cos xandros os its the only linux distributed with non-free declared software, but with extremy win-oriented users (uff stupid but anyway!)

example for install FULL AGGRESSIVE OPTIMIZED XMAME run this:

apt-get install xmame xmess kxmame

the xandros-network program its stupid and cant manage multiple repositories, mplayer and especialy packages like xe-emulator, xmame, kxmame (with alternate emulation support), micros and crosscompiling software for elecytronic and emulation development, and many theme desing issues that never u can put throught debconf way, that garanties the stability and consist3ence of software management with apt..

(opcionaly)

for most and great linux real users u must install APTITUDE and manage depoendences!

added debian archive repository and run "apt-get install aptitude"

this install a console based deb interface frontend APTITUDE

OK for the real linux and sarge users, i took with PICCORO in venenux forums, this link http://triviazus.com/venenux/vnzpacks have packages only for sarge but swichtable for xandros, originaly for massenkoh but this link deb repository are preliminar version only, new repository with new packages for xandros only will be upload at new year, cos for now not have hosting and triviazus host are not alowed..

remenber " deb http://triviazus.com/venenux/vnzpacks/piccoro ./ " must be added to /etc/apt/sources.list and then execute " apt-get update "

ok some of u can install, but in preliminar triviazus repo u will find this including:

NOTE IMPORTAN: probable its better use the APTITUDE interface or the KPACKAGE program for install packages, cos xanros-networks are very NON-INTELIGENT for get better options at install, if u use xandros-networs swicht to "expert mode", this mode will provide all the section hidden from debian original and vailds, like "otherfsos", "non-free", "devel", "kde", "graphics", etc etc etc.. ithe expert mode not have nothing of expert, only provide more views for hidden sections in it! better ption its to use aptitude!

Christmas morning here and the kids are done and we have time before we leave for dinner at the in-laws so I tried out the new repository and I have to say nice find. Everything installed on 4.1 with no issues and seems to work well. It even has a newer version of Koffice than standard Xandros and installs easily. I just want to let people know this is cool to use very nice work.

thanks, but i repeat, these repository are shipped in two, piccoro and venenux, the piccoro are for sarge, but are some compatible with xandros 4.1, and venenux are for etch and lenny..

in mckay emu and venenux foro9s PICCORO saids that have new repository for xandros 4.0 and 4.1, around 4.3Gb of packages up to date and most recents than etch or xandros 4.5, but they not have any place o host wherwe put packages, if somethig have any for helping this issue report to him here!

if anyone want a recent version of some stuff or package make request here, maybe PICCORO will have the package precompiled for xandros ...

PICCORO now able a complete theme for xandros and sarge, all packages nessesary are on this line: see the screenshot

the theme are taken from kdelook org and complete the missing stuff! this package will conver the desktop to xandr-massenkoh, so u must use aptitude

for sarge&xandr http://piccoro.venenux.org/vnzpacks/xaphire-sargexandros/

the theme will install everithing, ksplash, kdm login, splashy bootsplash, colors, styles, kwin windows dekorator, icons, ktheme manager theme combo, and some default settings! only for xandr 4.1 and 4.0, not for 4.5!

sorry, i dont remenber, if repository has sdl 1.2.10, was a pretty prot for devel issues only, dont install, use only if u are a developer!

sdl 1.2.11-9 was released by piccoro for xandros and sarge, bu uses directfb >= 0.9.25, so he need a place, a new place to store repository, triviazus was break and actualy are unaccesed even for propertarys!

other packs were fixeds, koffice, ooo, hugo, mednafen and vba, emulation suite was released again in a newer version here:
