Greetings,
We purchased xandros server and i have spent a great deal of time trying to get xMC running, it seems that no matter how i configure the system it keeps giving me an error when i try to log in to xMC: | Quote: | | "An error was encountered when attempting to connect to the primary server. Please check your network settings" |
I have gone through opening up the subnet (255.255.0.0) as the gsg mentions but it doesn't seem to make a difference, the server has been reinstalled a few times just in case i configured something incorrectly on the path, also because xandros doesn't seem to like my raid card and told grub that HD0 was all of the drives, no matter, livecd and nano saved me on that one.
Anyways, i need to get our scalix server up and running and xMC is one of the reasons we bought xandros. can some one help? _________________ Beep? |

Ok well, i have done some digging.
Running from the console the error is to do with the ldap server. Basically the program can't find it.
I would have thought that it would have worked on the loopback but i can't really test it. It looks to me that xandros-slapd is running on port 4 thousand and something on all adapters.
Done a netstat 100 times or so during the course of trying to log into the xMC but there's just nothing obvious about the fault apart from it not being able to find ldap.
I wonder if i am missing the packages or something....
Anyways, any help would be appreciated. _________________ Beep? |
