|
|
Yes.
I use X4. My scanner is detected as a network device.
"xsane" and "kooka" do not recognize my HP scanner. But they accept as scanner my TV capture card (Pinnacle PCTV)!
I installed linux drivers (it is hp3900 http://sourceforge.net/projects/hp3900-series/) both as stand-alone and as SANE backend, and also all needed libraries. When I run hp3900 stand-alone app my scanner works (I mean, it moves) but no front-end window is opened.
I disconnected scanner, and restarted Xandros. Later I connected the scanner but it is the same: it is a network device.
"sane-find-scanner" finds the scanner, but nothing changes.
When I tried to change device in xsane I can not find a proper file to select the scanner (drc or other) because ".conf" file is not accepted.
"scanimage -L" finds only the TV card
What must I do? Thank you.
(Please excuse my poor English)
(USB connected:
HP LaseJet 1020 printer (driver (¿!) ndiswrapper)
HP ScanJet 3800 scanner (driver usblp, OK)

Try running the command,
detect reset
This would remove the previous detection result and force a re-detection of hardware.
Then reboot the system with your scanner attached. |

Thank you.
I ran "detect reset" (all hardware removed) as root, reboot Xandros, new hardw detection, but nothing happened: TV card continues being an scanner and the scanner continues being a NIC.
Also I was hoping that my nVidia card (that is configured as VESA) was to be recognized as nVidia with its drivers, but it was not. _________________ A full Spanish version of Xandros Desktop is needed.
