tried restoring my 4gb linux xandros eee pc to it's former state, i've done it a couple of times with no glitches but this time i've encountered an error, it displays this message:

Scanning user partition, please wait...
fsck 1.40-WIP (14-Nov-2006) fsck .ext3: No such device or address while trying to open /dev/sda2 Possibly non-existent or swap device?
tune2fs 1.40-WIP (14-Nov-2006) /sbin/tune2fx: No such device or address while trying to open /dev/sda2/ Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock.

Press <Enter> to reboot...

thanks in advance guys, any info will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a CD to boot from?

It sounds like you need to completely reinstall the EeePC software.
