Hello, I am a french student and I have the eee-pc with Xandros.
My problem is that when I run a little application developed by me, I have a message : "Could not bind socket. Adress and port already in use."
And, I want to install a ftp server on the eee-pc but I don't know how I must make that.
Please help me !
Thank you in advance for your answers. |

I put gftp on the eeepc so ftp does work. It sounds like yuor computer is using the wrong port address for ftp. _________________ War doesn't determine who's right - only who's left. |

OK, it's good ! Thank you !
My ftp server works, but I don't know how put users so that they become identified when they are connected : I don't want that everybody have access to the ftp server.
And when I am connected, everybody has access to all files contained in /home/ftp/ and I'll want that have only one (pub) for all users.
Help me please. |

I don't know. I only connect to others' ftp services, and you must always have a username and password. I think this is something your application must have within it. Perhaps someone else will be able to help. _________________ War doesn't determine who's right - only who's left. |
