Currently using Xandros Premium Home Edition 4.0. Have been trying to determine the Linux Kernel Version that it is using?

Went to Network Clicked on Help and Xandros OS. Following information is provided (Build 2006-06-13 20:19 Rev 2.3) Question is this this the latest linux kernel? If not, what do I need to do?

Also went to Launch, Control Center and got the following information: KDE version 3.4.2 - Linux - Release 2.6.18-doc-smp- machine i686.

Question? Is this the Latest Linux Kernel? If not, what do I need to do to determine what Version my Xandros Premium is using? Confused

You just did determine what kernel version Xandros is using, it's 2.6.18. It's not the latest kernel version, but it is the latest that's available for Xandros.

"Xandros Desktop" uses kernel "2.6.18" in "V4.0" (with SP1), "V4.1/V4.2" and "Server V2".
But its not the latest build. Source code for that is available here: http://www.kernel.org/
