I have two XP machines and an ASUS 701. I'd like to run the newest Thunderbird, Adobe Reader, and Firefox 3.0 from a 4gb flash drive on the 701. I'd like to partition the flash drive with 1gb for XP and 3gb for Linux versions of the aforementioned programs. I like my ASUS very much. Is the aforementioned plan do-able on the 701? If so, any suggestions would be appreciated. First challenge for me will be partitioning the flash drive.

a 4 gig flash drive is pretty inexpensive I would try using windows storage manager first to see if it can be done I dont see any reason why you cant partition the flash drive.
gtparted can allow you many format options to choose from
