It is a How-To for installing the Tarball of OpenOffice 2.02. It can be used to install the latest version, just replace 2.02, with the latest version #.
NOTE:If you install OpenOffice in this manner, it cannot be updated via Xandros Networks. You will have to continue to update it in this manner.

How-to create Menu Items for: OpenOffice.org 2.0.2
For those that have installed OpenOffice 2, you may not know of a rather nifty feature of version 2. You can the edit the Menus, changing what items are listed, such as save, and copy and paste. This explains how to do that.

Where it might be usefull, is if you edit the same file, over, and over, and want to keep the original unchanged. Having that "Save" option in the menu, can be a bad thing. Better to take it out, and just use "Save As" instead. You'll spend less time restoring from backups then.
