I just purchased a Lexmark all in one printer. It did come with a CD for windows, but nothing for Xandros. Has anyone installed this printer and could you give me some advice.

My advice would be to return the printer and get something else. Lexmark's lack of support for Linux is exceeded only by Canon's.
The best place for information on printers for Linux is:
http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting
Nearly all the Lexmark X-series printers are rated as "Paperweight." Lexmark has not provided Linux drivers for them, and the geeks have not been able to reverse engineer the interface.
I did a little bit of Googling, and could find no one that was able to get this printer working in Linux.
I generally use HP printers. They have an open source driver project for Linux, and nearly every printer they make is supported in Linux.

I finnally installed the printer on my Wife's computer, she has Windows XP on her computer. We are on a network so the printer works fine on her machine, now I am trying to access it from my computer with Xandros. I'm not haveing too much luck as yet.

I'm not an expert on networking printers and such, but my understanding is that since there is no Linux driver for that printer, you won't be able to access it from Xandros. But as I say, I'm no expert, and I could be wrong. That's just what I gather from my attempts to get my Canon "Paperweight" printer to work, and what I've read of other's attempts.
It seems to me that someone could write a program for windoze that would allow sending the windoze computer printer data in some standard format like PostScript, and that program would then pass it along to the windoze printer driver. As far as I know, there is no such thing.

I thought that the windows driver would work since I installed it on my wife's computer. So far I haven't gotten it to work. It works fine on her computer, but I can't access it through the network.

My understanding is that you have to have a working driver on each computer from which you wish to print.

Yep, I gave away a Lexmark printer when I started using Linux, and bought an HP. I think I've owned 4 or 5 HP printers since then, and all of them work fine, including the all-in-one printers. Epsons are pretty well supported, too, and I think I've seen a number of people on the forums mention Samsung and some Brother printers. Lexmark and Canon printers come in three varieties: paperweight, doorstop, and boat anchor.
