I have an old, color bubble jet Canon BJC-2100 SP that connected to my PC by a serial port (LPT1). If I print a same text (*.sxw text document created by OOo 1.1.5 on my Xandros, and printed with OOo on my Windoze box), the page printed 20 second on Windoze, but a page has finished its printing within 1 minute 15 second on Xandros! Can I speed up the printing speed?

As you noted the printing driver does work.
Sometimes your results will vary on particular brands with gimp / foomatic drivers..

If you want an intelligent driver with better quality for the Canon try

..I believe these are based on the gutenprint family of drivers.

You can try a free download... but if you get good results then the $29 price tag will be worth it.
