thanks for your email.
I will try this, i think i've made something like that but i did not see where to
write IPTC informations in the menu.
Maybe i need to install another software to edit the IPTC informations?

It is possible to have more than one version of an application installed at the same time. It may be that the new one you installed is in /usr/local/bin, or some place like that. In a console you can type which digikam or whereis digikam and that might tell you where the new version installed to. If it says, for example, that there's a version of digikam in /usr/local/bin, then you can start that version of it by typing /usr/local/bin/digikam in console.
