First of all, im a neewbie at Linux (last time i used it was redhat -98 )
And i have allmost no skills att all, therefor i choosed XandrOS as my new start to the Kernel, for the simplicity of it. Have installed some software, but havent really got the grip yet of all the tips and tricks u need to do to get most out of ur system and games. Im not a neewbie to PC. Built them for 10 years soon now, so i can handle the machine, i know the basics, and i know what power u need to get software to work as u like it to. But in the field of Linux im like a litle baby again.
Second, i dont meen to spam with this post, (posted the same Q in an existing thread earlier) But noone seems to have read my last Q so i give it a new try.
I installed Americas Army 2.0a yesterday, It works, but not as i want it to do.
The sound is slow. sound comes 1 second after i actually fired my gun.
That ive tried to fix within the games setup menu for sound, tried all settings, but no difference.
Problem 2 is that im stuck with 800x600 screen resolution for fullscren play, there is no option to change. In windowed game i can choose btween 800x600 or 640x480 both suck to play with ofcourse.
I use this machine with dualboot, and my other OS WinXP, can play this game without any trouble, sound works perfect, and i use 1280x1024 resolution with all extras on full effect. So i know that the hardware is powerfull enough for it.
I can allso tell that i installed Enemy Teritory and that worked perfect.. can use 1280x1024 screen, and sound is flawless.
Does any1 know what im doing wrong?
Or what file should i maybe edit to fix this?
Specs.
Xandros 2.0
Amd XP1900
geforce FX5600
256mb pc2700
Soltek SL 75drv
As i said, all games works fine in WinXP so hardware is not the problem here. |
