These projects seem pretty much dead, Nicotine anyway. The most active development is in the Nicotine Plus project (http://www.nicotine-plus.org).

You don't have to compile it, you can run it directly from source and create a link to the start menu.

The system tray icon can be compiled if desired, but I failed at that. It's my lazyness I know.

Works well with most Soulseek's features and more.
