We have an Xandros Server (Version 1) which we are trying to set up with as a file server with some Windows XP computers. We have enabled Windows file sharing, all are on the same workgroup (in this case called PINNACLE), but no matter what we do we cannot map the windows computers to the server. It keeps on coming up asking for a username and password. All file permissions are set to share, have tried setting all to an anonymous share to no avail. The router is acting as the DHCP and DNS server. This was supposed to be a simple network that has developed into a major headache.
Any help would be appreciated _________________ Peter Buckland |

No, we overcame the problem. The server is an excellent product - much more trouble free than a windows server _________________ Peter Buckland |
