Just tried it in 4 pro and it installs and launches no issues. Now I don't use this type of software myself so whether it does anything or is stable I can't say but the above does install and launch worth trying. _________________

K9Copy has been added to the Xandros 4 download page on my site:
http://www.geekconnection.org/k9copy/k9copy-1.0.4-2_i386.deb
Please let me know of any requests you may have for anything you wish to see added to the site.
Enjoy! _________________ geekydude

I've added another page with some stuff for Xandros 4 that's been salvaged from Archlug.
Generally more content added to the site, and some revamped page formatting for easier navigation.
Please let me know if you have any content suggestions! _________________ geekydude

Well done on the site dude, bookmarked it straight away!
Any ideas anyone how i can retrieve the orig v4 splash boot as mine seems to have been eaten by my hard drive. Just says "Could not load theme config file"!!
Its only a mild irritation, I just prefer the xandros start up,
Again -- Well done Geekydude!!!!!

Are you talking about the boot screen that asks for your choice of OS?
Or are you talking about the login splash screen?
Thanks for the kind words!
BTW: Xandros 4 OCE now available on my site:

I just wanted to drop a note to everyone that the Xandros Wiki is bigger, better, and has a new look...
Please drop by and take a look around, and let me know how you like it, or any suggestions for improvement! _________________ geekydude

Glad you could find it. Was the URL hard to type?

Geekydude, please remove the references to "salvaging" and "currently defunct" for ArchLUG on your website. It is neither.
Also, you and Doctore are welcome for the years of service and bandwidth I have provided (and continue to provide) to the Xandros community. You might want to mention that on your new site, since you are quite proud to claim you're giving credit where credit is due.
I'm not sure how much you want to play up Doctore's mad downloading skillz, seeing as anyone else can download anything in the repositories any time they want to. Just a thought.
Good luck with it. _________________ Thanks for all the fishes, Xandros. |

Mike,
At the time, there was no info available as to what happened to Archlug, and I haven't had a chance to update the info on the site.
I'll have everything updated this weekend.
EDIT: I will also make sure proper credit is given, as I may have unintentionally missed your credits. I apologize for that. _________________ geekydude

OK...here is the latest improvements on geekconnection.org!
I've taken all of the repositories listed on Archlug and combined all of the packages for Xandros 4 into one repository, then added many more packages including many of the latest packages from the debian multimedia repository.
packages have been included from the following repositories:
archlug
xorid
boylinux
redrum
andrew
And contributions from a number of users.
Special thanks to mike80808 for his work and contributions on archlug!
Also, many thanks to jimallyn, doctore, davidwrigley, and BoyLinux for their help and guidance, and also all of the other contributors whom I may have inadvertantly failed to mention.
Please add the following repository to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
| Code: | | deb http://www.geekconnection.org xandros4 main |
I will also be building a similar repository for Xandros 3 over the next week or two...stay tuned.
Please let me know if you have any issues, feedback, or suggestions! _________________ geekydude

Hi all,
I've created a Xandros 3 repository with everything for Xandros 3 listed on Archlug and then some!
| Code: | | deb http://www.geekconnection.org xandros3 main |
Once again, special thanks to Mike80808 for his invaluable work and contributions on Archlug.
Thanks also to the contributions of:
Mike80808
Aldube
BoyLinux
Andrew
zzupp
Matty
Doctore
Any other contributors who have gone inadvertently unnamed.
For those who haven't caught my previous Xandros 4 post, here's the two repositories listed together:
Xandros 3 repository:
| Code: | | deb http://www.geekconnection.org xandros3 main |
Xandros 4 repository:
| Code: | | deb http://www.geekconnection.org xandros4 main |
Please email me with any problems, feedback, or suggestions. _________________ geekydude
