I dont know if this was posted before
while trying to use xscreensavers some will run then the controls freeze
using x4 ver 3.42 realease 2.6.18 dcc-smp
my machine is a compaq presario sr1053wm with a 2.2mhz amd athlon xp3200+, 512 meg of ram, via technologies vt8 378 [s3 unichrome] integrated video
the same problem happens on my laptop
dell latitude d800 3.8 mhz processor, 2 gig of ram and nvidia driver
the xscreensavers were part of the gnome-panel that was downloaded for the office programs some of the office programs there work and some dont. Is this a software issue?

Possibly, Xandros is a KDE based OS, my understanding is that some gnome apps run fine & others may have problems.
I have no knowledge of the gnome apps you are trying to run, but if you post more details, others in here may be able to help.

these came with the gnome-panel program the problems were on the debian menu
