|
|
I have a question about the galactic strategy KDE game, Konquest. When I first played it, a message box appeared on the game's screen. It listed the various events as they happened, like fleets launched, planets conquered, etc. I found the messages quite useful.
However, since then the message box (and messages) have disappeared. I have searched the menu options, game settings, and manual without success. I do not know why the messages stopped, as I do not remember changing anything in the game.
Any words of wisdom?
Thanks.
Robert

In Settings /configure did you Add Show Standings and Fleet OverView? _________________

sqlpython:
No, the "Show Standings" and "Fleet Overview" windows are not the information box I am talking about.
The info box I saw was on the galactic screen (main game window) itself, off in a corner (away from the planets and standard game info). It showed a "running" list of messages (about ten at a time), with the oldest messages going off screen as new messages were displayed.
But thanks anyway.

I found the problem and fixed it. I had set my screen resolution too low (800 x 600), so the game screen extended below the bottom of my display. This unseen section contained the message box I had missed. I increased my screen resolution and the box moved onto my display.
Is there a way to force a screenshot to be entirely displayed, despite an improper screen resolution?
Thanks.
Robert
