I am using OCE 3.02.
When I have the volume turned up all the way, there is a very high pitched whistling coming from my Dell latitude C600 speakers. This never happened until recently. When X4 was released I was notified that there were updates ready for my system. I downloaded them and restarted, the whistling stopped. Any suggestions???

just a thought...

If I was diagnosing a complicated piece of electronic equipment, with both audio inputs and outputs....it would seem to be a "feedback" loop..just a thought...

ok, made a mistake in writing the problem. The whistling started with the updates, not stopped. I would like to stop the whistling. Also, it is only when the volume is above 80%

sounds like a feed back loop to me....

you might go to the sound mixer and see if the microphone is enabled even if you don't have one on..
