As an update to previous posts, these are the current instructions on how to get to the IRC channel.
You will often find various people hanging around in here.

Do this as a regular user, if you login to IRC as the Administrator (ROOT) you will be opening your self to a security hole.
Method :
1-> Click Launch / Applications / Internet / Instant Messaging / IRC
2-> Click Connections / New Server
3-> Enter "irc.freenode.net" in the server/quick connect to: box (Without quotes)
4-> Be sure that the port box is set to 6667
5-> Click Connect
6-> After connecting to the server you'll see a large Message, after this type /join #xandros and hit enter.
7-> You're now connected.
