Hi
I can't play any midi files on my Sound Blaster sound card. My understanding is that sound fonts are not installed automatical with a SB. I see Timidity is installed on Xandros3 and is used with alot of Linuxs. I've searched through the forum tiring to find something on Timidity and only found 1 post. Does this mine that nobody uses or no one has any problems with Timidity ? I have Googled man timidity & man timidity.cfg tiring to understand how to config startup and If I need to config anything else i'm confused. NEED HELP or ADVICE

Thank You

Going thru old posts...

I suggest you ask the timidity geeks.

http://timidity.sourceforge.net/
-> community
-> mailing lists

Pay particular attention to those whom have success on
debian-based distros.

HI shengchieh

Thank You for replying and your advice. I am going to try another option that maybe easier to do. I can get some sound fonts from alsa-project. Also I have used your website several times alot of good links.
