Perfectly fine running X4 Premium sound working great with integrated mobo for over a month. Today no sound, reboot to windows, sound reboot two more times still no sound in X4.
Ran alsaconf, now I got sound. Any idea why reboot didn't fix sound? I changed the mobo over the same month ago and X4 found everything.
Just a curiosity question, not a bitch or complaint.

A lot of people seem to have had this problem. I imagine it has to do with the auto-configuration under the hardware detection. Manually configure just kind of resets it. I guess it's just that OS' are technically "stupid". Hope this helps.

My guess is the config file got overwritten or corrupted in some way, and the manual config overwrote the config file with fresh, accurate info. _________________ geekydude
