Feel I must share my story with some others...
Life started with the ninety mirrors, here, there and everywhere.
Tried later to live with Candida, Debbie, Feds, Mepp, PClost, RedHead, Slacksnake, to name some.
First marriage was with Mandy. We came along one year. But all friends named "trojan", "virus",
"worm" disappeared. Onle one left was "rootkit", but with changed name, now it was just "root".
Even the really beatiful "Blue Screen" wallpaper was gone! How could I get it back? Got boored.
So throw out Mandy and joined the eXtraProblematic club again. Now it was as in the god old days...
Had thoughts about seducing SuZY. But saw then some light in the tunnel, i thought. It was Zanox.
Was it some medicine? Zanox the third that reminded so much about the eXtraProblematic club moved in
with me. And all friends and wallpapers dissapeared, again. One year of misery with Zanox the third,
that never stopped mumbling all day long, was enough. Got so boored. Had to do something about it.
Heard then some good news, I thought, again. Asked Zanox the third to leave and prepared marriage
with Zanox the fourth. Now its even worse. Have been searching everywhere on spiders net, over three
mounths and tried all imaginable things to find all friends and beatiful wallpapers, without success.
Well nowdays peaceful "root" is still in my life. But, must I use force to get the others back?
Someone told me to use the new "Wow". Asked if it was a dog or the game? No its something from
a movie "Hasta-la-Vista-baby". It could possible terminate, or at least make my life normal again.
The alternativ may be to pull some plugs and throw all garbage away. And start using milkmachines...
Dont know how much longer I can stand it. Misses my old buddies so much. Have talked to my shrink,
whos recommending ACA = Anonymous Computer Addicts. Shall I give that a try?
Yours cincerly, Doctore

Great story!
This will help...
Take two aspirins and mail me 30 euros.. ...I will place a few damaged floppies, an old win-modem and cooked Soundblaster card in a small cave that I know of. There I will make a shrine and light two beeswax candles reading your story in the night while burning a CD of Caldera Linux 1.3 over a few charcoal briquettes.. Trust me you will be purged if not totally healed!! _________________ (Registered Linux User #439601) |

Doctore, maybe you'd feel better if you installed the "Blue Screen of Death" screensaver?

Anybody out there?
Had one ... err, many night stands with Zanox the second. Got so addicted.
My life as total lunatic reached its point of no return, when Zanox the third
showed me Nirvana (not the band).
Zanox the fourth and a half was the best XXX ever. Unfornately, after some time,
even this started agening. Used homebrewed makeover and Zanox, almost the fifth,
was born. Lucky me. Tought this was the one, that could live forever. Sempre viva.
Still remembers that happy moment.
However. Sooner or later all good things comes to an end. My old shoeboxes are now
long gone. Sadly, Zanox doesnt even bother waking up in these brand new tiny ones,
wheres not even one half foot fits. Wish I knew the secrets of dr Frankenstein.
So, farewell and R.I.P. old chap. But dont worry, more happy days are to come.
Because nowdays Im surrounded by the smiling divas, Debbie and Onebut.
Oh, by the way, heres a picture from
Onebut triplets family album:
Yours cincerly, Doctore. Again.
PS! They say, you cant have it all, but could Padding with Tiles Infinity
bring that beatiful "Blue" wallpaper, "Virus" and the other lads back?
More translations:
Onebut = Ubuntu
Padding = Tablet
Tiles Infinity = W8 _________________ Linux User #432929

Hi Doctore!
Who would've thought of several years ago that I would be replying on a smartphone!
Interesting post!

Have you really been gone for 6 years Woodsmoke?
It seems that the product passed away but many users still drop in from time to time.

Yep it has been.
I have not donated many computers of Late . But if it's a pretty basic computer with pretty standard equipment I still put xandros on it. _________________ If the eco-ists would only shut up, I wonder if the sound of their droning would be replaced by the sound of normal people fitting solar panels and making soup from nettles and twigs.(J Clarkson) |
