It is listed as OpenOffice.org 1.1 in XN, using normal Xandros sources.

arnoldjames; Thanks, I'll e-mail Xandros support to see why it isn't showing up on XN. I've looked in installed and new installs the only thing that shows up is in German.
Thanks Scott

You can also install OpenOffice 2.0 if you like. Download it from here:

http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0/index.html

and install it using the instructions here:

Re sources:

Go into Xandros Networks, At the top, click on 'edit' and then 'set application sources'. What do you have checked off? You want the CD (if you have an applications CD with Xandros 3 or 3delux) or not checked if this is OCE. Then you want the 'Xandros distribution site' checked and that's all.

tried that still only get German.I have 3.02 installed.
I had to re-install Xandros, I had it in XN before the re-install, things just don't make sense. I've taken crossover out as I have vmware installed, don't think this needed for ooffice. I'm going to do a re-start to see if this make a diiference.

Works well enough....

I am pretty late to school here but when I bought Xandros Premium Home It came with OpenOffice.org 2.0.1. I had it installed and running until I had to replace the hard drive. It wasn't on the net but was perfect for letter writer. After repairing I see that it isn't an option anymore. Was there a problem redistributing open source software? I would like some help finding something free and easy to install. I downloaded this but I dont know what to do with it.

OOo_2.2.1_LinuxIntel_install_en-US.tar.gz.torrent

Thanks

Are you saying you did a "restore Xandros" & lost Open Office?
Or when you reinstalled Xandros you couldn't find any way to install Open Office?
Do you have one or two CD's?

Dave

I had to replace the hard drive. My kit came with a xandros install disk, a windows migration disk and an applications disk.
