Hello:
I am very new to Xandros and I really have to get used to the way you can accesss stuff. When I was a sole user of win xp, I inserted a sound card which is a Creative 24-bit. When I first installed Xandros, my NVIDIA card was immediately detected but my sound card was not detected. I tried to install the sound drivers using my installation disk but to no avail. Since creative is a well known company, I would figure that it could be used with Xandros. When checking my programs, it does show up as it is installed. I do have the sound icon in the tray and is not muted. Of course I also found all of my window files in the File Manager on Xandros. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get my sound card installed? I do have Xandros Crossover installed. Can I use that application to transfer the drivers? Thank you very much for your response.

| I had a similar problem when installing my creative SB audigy 2 value card. I have an updated alsa file which got mine working. Send me an e-mail and I'll send it to you with instructions on how to install. It may well work for you. |

I can't remember or find the link, but this doesn't matter as I have a copy of the alsa driver. Use my e-mail button below to send me your e-mail address ( or alter your profile to display your e-mail button) and I'll send you the driver with brief instructions. |
