I have been waiding through countless posts all over and have come to the conclusion that i will not get my onboard audio to work while playing Enemy Territory. I have the ac97 chip on a Soyo mobo just so you know.

A qustion i have is why when i play a game like Tux Racer or Legends i have sound. But when i play ET i get nothing, Games like ET when they do full screen do they "dump" out of the GUI? such as windows dumps to DOS to play certin games.

And fianlly some advice if you please. If i buy a soundcard, like somthing thats on the compatibility list. Will that then cure my sound issues while playing games like ET?
