Hi,
Sorry to sound a bit irrate, but I am a bit irrate.
I am not going to beat up on Xandros because they have a very nice product, but could somebody please tell me why basic sound will not work on a less than year old Sony laptop with onboard sounds. The specs are below. I checked and everything is "turned on" so sound should work.

Yes I have read posts of folks with older Vaios where sound was not an issue yet I have gone over everything I can think of or read about and can't get a peep out of it.
It is disappointing mainly because the machine is so new. I am perhaps naive in that I figure the newer it is the more likely it will work when in fact the complete opposite is likely.
