I have just recently started to configure xDMS for a client of mine and are having problems with getting the system up and running. This is for server 1.0 (is there a later version that we should be using?).
Have successfulyl installed the software onto a test system - with a valid license. Have created the administrator accounts are required.
Now whenever I run the xDMS Administrator it says in the status bar at the bottom:
The xDMS service cannot be contacted.
When trying to access xDMS Console it always says the username and password is invalid - even when using the same one as running xDMS Administrator.
Doing some tracing on the software it would seem that it is trying to connect to some daemon on port 2654 on the localhost and there is nothing listening there.
In addition when running from a terminal window I get errors like:
WARNING: Unable to get TaskManager from LDAP, falling back to localhost
which may (or may not) be related. There is an LDAP server running - I presume it is a part of the xDMS software itself.
Further diagnostics can be provided if required.
Thanks for any assistance. |
