I have both compiled and put up on my site.
I haven't tested Flightgear yet as I do not have the hardware for it (That is coming this weekend).

I've been staying out of the packaging forum lately. I have been wanting to get Flight Gear to work. I guess your off playing it. _________________ The answers are out there. You just have to know how to find them.

For anyone that was missing fgfs-base from my site it was because I forgot to add it to the page. It is there now so please download it. _________________ Kevin MacPherson

I tried to install fgfs today, but first ran into dependency problems with plib, which required ( If i remember correctly) libglu, then libglut3-dev which required xlibmesa-gl-dev which said it was a broken package. Any ideas on how to get to the bottom of this?
Thanks! |

Make sure you have unsupported in our sources.list
Install the four debs using dpkg -i fgfs-base_0.9.8-1_all.deb flightgear_0.9.8-1_i386.deb simgear0_0.3.8-1_i386.deb plib1.8.4_1.8.4-1_i386.deb
Run apt-get install -f
This will resolve the dependency issues and works fine. _________________ Kevin MacPherson

| Thanks Kevin, that did the trick. Now, is there a command other than fgfs to start it such as runfgfs mentioned in the documentation? I know the windows version started with a screen that let you pick location, airplane model and such. |
