So I just discovered this thread. I added the application sources and they aren't there.
Is the source just down temporarily, or is it gone for good?
Thanks |

|
|
Hi,
Thanks for this great resource! I was wondering if I could request one thing:
Is it possible to edit the original post to include all of the currently available packages in this repository? As I posted above, I can't access the main one right now, but I can access the mirror at archlug. I can't find the QtParted package, though.
Also, the list of what has been added to the repository is strewn throughout this 8 page thread; very tedious to navigate.
So I'm not sure if the original post is editable, but if it is, can it be kept up to date? If not (I'm not sure what kind of time frame is allowed for editing posts on this BB), would it be more practical to just open a new thread with all of the currently available packages?
Just a suggestion. Thanks again for the packages! |

Surely that is available in X4.
Applcations-Tools-Admin Tools-Storage Manager.
If you want Part Image try Xandros Debian Sources 'Mondo'. Take all of the packages. This will give you images of all or any part of yor machine.

I think we are getting a little off of the topic, but in response to your suggestion:
I will try Mondo, as you suggested, but as for Xandros Storage Manager, I am not quite satisfied with the functionality it provides. As the description above reads, QtParted is similar to Partition Magic.
Honestly, I have had to use the CLI based 'parted' in conjunction with "Storage Manager" for anything even moderately complex. I would even go so far as to say that the disk manager in Windows XP is more elegant than the Xandros Storage Manager".
So, if QtParted is anything like Xandros Storage Manager, I don't even want it anymore.
No offense, it is what it is, and it's a beginner's tool.
Thanks,
