Typo
Latest from Debian.org should read libidn11 0.5.2-3.
Must try and connect brain to fingers!

OOPS!
I'd upgraded my libidn11 durning an install of boylinux's bzflag deb....so that's why it required I higher version...
I just uploaded a new knoda package that only requires 0.5.0 (I'm not sure what version ships with xandros, but the default one should work). So just donwload the new one and try to install it used XN.
Chage that line to read:
deb http://www.xandros.or.id/archive xxx main
You can access a lot of great Xandros compiled apps from there....but the new knoda isn't there yet (waiting for matty to update it), so you'll have to download the knoda deb file seperatly and install using XN.
hope it works this time!

Andrew can you also do the same thing with the KAudioCreator package? It also is asking for libidn11 (0.5.13).
Or should I update libidn11 somehow? |

Sorry to say that it is now a nogo.
The "deb http://www.xandros.or.id/archive xxx main " site has 'lost' some files and now refuses to load although the original package descriptions are still there. The error message is - 'unable to download some files'.
Loading the programmes from your deb files does not work either. hkclasses fails to download any database drivers consequently you cannot start the programme up.
I have had a look on the knoda website and there are no corrections to the package since it was issued in March.
The package descriptions in your deb packages for 7.3 are nothing like the previous descriptions. "ATHEROS wireless driver"?

It's still not there yet, just have to download both deb files

sorry. I didn't have any db apps installed when I built hkclasses, so it didn't include ANY drivers. I just uploaded a new one with support for: mysql, odbc, and sqlite2. SO, remove hkclasses from Xandros Netorks, and install the new hkclasses deb, then install knoda.

Yeah, I donno what's up with that. My package has this description for knoda:
| Quote: | | Knoda allows you to: define and delete databases, create, alter and delete tables and indices, add, change and delete data in tables, define, execute and store sql queries, define execute and store queries with a "query by example" GUI, import and export CSV data define and use forms, define and print reports and write your own extensions using the integrated Python interpreter as scripting language |
I think it's a glitch in Xandros Networks, for example if you go to a Console and issue su, and then this command (after you installed knoda):
apt-cache search -f knoda
it has the right description.....so it must be XN. ANYWAY it should work now. thanks for bearing with me.

Eureka - it works again.
I think you missed the point about the original copy in Xandros id. The original copy no longer works - so if Matt hasn't been there the fairies have.
Anyway the latest copy is now available.
many many thanks

Andrew, how big is knoda? ArchLUG has about 90MB or so free. Will it fit? If so, you can try uploading there. _________________ Thanks for all the fishes, Xandros. |

I have some space on my site, could probably donate 100 - 150 meg. Would this help ? (not just for Knoda)

Yeah, something's up with mattys apt repo...just download:
hkclasses_0.7.3-1_i386.deb
knoda-0.7.3-1_i386.deb
from: http://www.xandros.or.id/~andrew/archive/
and install them (in that order) using Xandros Networks

The two deb files are only a little over 2MB combined...I uploaded them to my archlug account..you can add them at your leisure
