I currently have Linspire 6. Is there any benefits for me to upgrade to a Xandros new version?

Unfortunately new Xandros desktop software is now non existent. So I don't have any help for you. Xandros was a very good product, better than most of the current Linux efforts. Sad to see Xandros fade away.

What are some other linux based systems to upgrade to. How about Ubuntu?
If none other available, i may just keep my linspire 6. I think the originator of Lindows and linspire and CNR may be sad to see his masterpiece bought, stripped and discontinued. Wonder if he could re-aquire that back or produce another.. I reaally liked all the software available for lindows and linspire.
I hate to stay with Windows.

There are a lot of choices. Mint and Mepis look good to me. Others like Ubuntu or PCLOS. Try a few and see what you like. Most of them have "LiveCDs" so you can try them without installing to your hard drive.

Michael Robertson was former head of Lindows/Linspire.
He ran the company into the ground defrauding many people who owned stock in Linspire.
You can read all about his shenanigans on former CEO Kevon Carmony's page.
