I have been working on a group of eee PC 4G notebooks, and the WIFI settings on each need to be manually configured.
I have found a way to copy the /etc/network/interfaces file from one machine to another, but the destination machine does not list the WIFI connection in the Network Connections window.
Is there another file which needs to be copied in order for the settings to be replicated from one machine to another? |

| The wireless UCI configuration is located in /etc/config/wireless. This file is responsible for defining wireless devices and wireless networks and this page explains the different settings.A typical wireless config file contains at least one wifi device specifying general radio properties like channel, driver type and txpower and one wifi interface defining a wireless network on top of the radio device. |
