I'm not very familiar with the Ubuntu installer, but you should be able to just point it at the Xandros partition & tell it to take it over.

Hmmm. Lock up problem on Xandros, and the Ubuntu installer can't find the drive that has Xandros on it. Bad hard drive? _________________ I refuse to live in a country like this - and I'm not leaving. - Michael Moore |

I bet that Ubuntu doesn't mount any drives other than the primary drive. Does the installer allow you to type commands or otherwise mount additional drives?

There has to be a way to do this, have you tried the Ubuntu forum already?

If you do a manual partition during the Ubuntu install you should be able to see all disks partitions if the Xandros one doesn't show up the disk has an issue and you should backup now. _________________
