By high-speed cable, do you mean that you have a cable modem connection? Is your PC connected directly to the cable modem, or is it connected to a router that is connected to the cable modem?

If it is connected directly to the cable modem, your ISP may have limited internet access to the MAC address of your previous ethernet card. In that case, you'll have to use MAC address spoofing - configure your ethernet card to spoof the MAC address of your previous card. Or install a router and program the router to spoof the MAC address.

Dave, if you open Xandros File Manager, (double-click the Home icon on your desktop), and scroll down the tree view in the left pane, you may find your camera listed as a "removeable drive". Some digital cameras are unfortunately not supported in Linux, because the manufacturers do not provide Linux drivers. If you don't see yours listed as a removeable drive, another option is to download and install DigiKam or PhotoManager from Xandros Networks. DigiKam and PhotoManager are essentially the same program, although PhotoManager has been tweaked a bit to mesh better with Xandros. I am not sure which version is available from Xandros Networks. Start Xandros Networks, and wait while it updates the package lists. Click the File menu and select Enter Administrator Mode, enter your administrator password when prompted. Click the Edit menu and select Set Application Sources. Make sure that both the Xandros Main, and Debian Unsupported sites are checked. Click the Settings menu and check Expert View then type DigiKam into the search field in the upper right corner, and click the search button. In the left pane, two search results will appear, Standard View and Expert View. Check standard view first, and if DigiKam or PhotoManager appears there, click the install button beside it. If not, check the Expert View list, which typically shows a lot more packages than does the Standard View. Find the package, and click the install button. Wait while XN installs it, then exit XN. DigiKam supports quite a number of digital cameras, including, hopefully, yours. Finally, if all else fails, you can buy a USB card-reader, a good name brand one, plug it into your USB and insert the card from your camera. Xandros should recognize it as a "removeable drive", and allow you to download and save your pictures that way. Hope this helps. Ben

I downloaded digikam and it works fine.

I also was woundering why, when you are on the internet, on a site and all of a sudden everything vanishes. Then you can restore the session.
Why does this happen?

Thank geekydude for the help.

Dave78901234. "Firefox" tends to crash on some websites.
It could depend on an BUG or possible an/some extension/s.
Try use "Konqueror" or "Opera" on same websites to see
if the same problem appears.
