I wanted to ask if someone can tell me where I can find the real trial of the Xandros 4 Pro version for which I am meant to pay $99

The one I just downloaded from the page obviously can't be the right one, as the newest updates are from 2007 and nobody, not even little Jobsi could be assuming that anyone is paying for outdated trash

So where can I find the real trial for the version thats sold, the one that supports my NVIDIA 7300 for the advertised 3D desktop, the one that supports CNR etc?

I think that IS the latest version 4.X (I think 4.1) it's pretty outdated yes.

There is also a free (OCE or something they call it) version. This is version 4.5 (I don't know what the difference between this and 4.1 is).

Xandros 5 is the next release but last information shows that it's delayed.

Hi Dreamora and welcome to "Xandros" user forums!

The "Debian Sarge" based "Xandros 4.2" works very well with
older hardware. Its unfornately an EOL product because "Debian"
doesnt provide updates for "Sarge" anymore. Buy it here:

Newer hardware (motherboard, VGA, sound and network cards),
needs newer drivers, so try the new "Debian Etch" based and
free (gratis) "4.5-OCE" instead (uses kernel 2.6.24), which
includes newer drivers and better software support.
