I'm trying to install this KDE 3.2+ theme http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php/Azenis?content=77150
and I think I need Dekorator to be able to change how the windows look. I'm unable to find a download that will work. I get dependency errors in XN. Has anyone installed it or have a link to a .deb?

The "Debian Etch" DEB "kwin-style-dekorator_0.3-1_i386.deb"
DOES NOT CONVERT correctly. But the "Xandros 4" DEB does!
Therefor, download "dekorator_0.3-1_i386.deb" engine from:
http://www.geekconnection.org/apt/dekorator_0.3-1_i386.deb

Then convert the DEB-package with this trick:

And finally, install the converted package.

Nice, thanks again.
It appears to have installed correctly, but I can't find it anywhere. When I follow instructions to install that theme, I notice I don't have a "dekorator' theme in my Theme Manager, and when I run "whereis dekorator" in console, it just tells me "dekorator: " Sad

I see it in Window Decorations, but when I select DeKorator all it does is tell me at the bottom:
"No preview available. Most probably there was a problem loading the plugin".
Also, I notice after installing it, in XN it says Kwin-style-dekorator (package size 0 bytes)

"DeKorator" should work as described if you followed
the advices (which was also tested on XD 4.5-OC).

Download "DeKorator" themes from www.kde-look.org. Unpack and copy
those to an folder (example): "/home/<your user>/dekorator/"

And select "Frames", "Buttons" and "Masks" in "Path" tab:
"Frames tiles path" = "/home/<your user>/dekorator/<dekorator theme>/deco"
"Buttons tiles path" = "/home/<your user>/dekorator/<dekorator theme>/buttons"
"Masks tiles path" = "/home/<your user>/dekorator/<dekorator theme>/masks"
(this was tested on XD 4.2 Professional).

Tested the DEB compiled for "Debian Etch" DEB with an "over the edge"
updated "XD 4.5" (not recommended). But standard/updated/enhanced
machines requires the DEB compiled for "Xandros 4".

I did follow your instuctions, however I used the wrong .deb file Razz

(I had downloaded a few)

Got any good Dekorator themes? I'm not to fond of the one pictured above.

I do like the "Domino", and "Oxygen" themes, but I don't know if they are available for Dekorator.
