| I haven't been able to install that via the Xandros installer. Any tips? |

Do you get an error message or something when you try to install? _________________ I refuse to live in a country like this - and I'm not leaving. - Michael Moore |

"Ardour" needs "Xterm" (Debian Unsupported Site = Debian Sarge Repository)
but that package conflicts with several "Xandros" specific packages. One possibilty
could be to compile "Xterm" for "Xandros" getting "Ardour" installed. Or simply to lry
another "Linux" distribution. _________________ Linux User #432929

I'd rather stay on Xantos - main reason it picked up all the hardware like a charm!
Mandrake and Ubuntu not quite so - huge problems there with my wireless nw card. I'd rather stay on Xandros without Ardour than the other way around |

Well, if you install the file I linked to above, you might be able to have your cake and eat it too. Doctore found that xterm was needed to install Ardour. Install xterm and see if you can install Ardour then. There may be other items you need to install (like jack, for example), but let us know what problems you come up against, and maybe we can help with those, too.
I had Ardour working, maybe not on X4, maybe on X3. I am really looking forward to when I can install the newest version of Ardour!
