|
|
Hi,
I use Xandros 4.1 Home version and am considering a GeForce 8600GT video card. I searched the forums and the Xandros hardware compatibility listings but found no information.
Does Xandros 4.1 support the nVidia GeForce 8600GT video card?
I have to logout for now, but I'll check back tomorrow (friday) for any replies. |

Not out of the box... You will need a third party (ie unsupported by Xandros) in order to get all the features of your card supported.. The above links should get you where you need to go.. You will have the highest probability for success with the latest driver. (100.14.19b)

Thanks for your input!
Although I am an advanced Window$ user, I am still a newbie when it comes to Linux. I think I'd better look for a video card that Xandros supports "right out of the box."
Thanks again! |

The link for the Nvidia drivers (http://www.vogelefamily.info) appears to be down. Are there any other links?
Thanks for all the work you have done with regard to these drivers. _________________ Running Xandros Home Edition - Premium

redrum mentioned in the last week or two that he was moving and his server might be down at times. Try again later.

The server is back up.. It may take time for DNS to replicate, but it should be available soon.. If you can see my avatar (since it too is hosted here too) then you can access the site.. If you cannot see it, then you'll have to wait a bit longer.
Sorry for the interruption
