| I installed a couple of themes I downloaded from another forum they were deb files and I installed them with XN. Now I have lost my close button and the min/max buttons from my open windows! I cant seem to find the setting to turn this back on! The first one i installed was kssmoothdock_4.5_1_i386.deb and kooldock-0.4.7-1x4_i386.deb . I am new to all these menus! |

This sounds like a theme issue to me.
Go to Control Centre - display - theme - windows decorations and click the buttons tab and make sure they are displayed.
You may want to try another theme to see if that fixes it.
I have kooldock also, but not ksmoothdock, though I don't think this is issue because no-one else has reported it. Maybe wait and see if someone else has had this issue (?) _________________ War doesn't determine who's right - only who's left. |

It seems unlikely that either ksmoothdock or kooldock would cause that; certainly kooldock hasn't caused any problem like that for me.
I'm with arnoldjames: it's probably somewhere in the themes setup in Control Center.

| I just reloaded the OS again I found a file I had installed not by XN. OoPs! It was an Icon theme called Emerald it was a compressed file I had downloaded from another site and I clicked it by mistake a couple of days and it Installed! I started noticing my passwords were not entering in on the first click and alot of other buggy issues. LESSON 101 Don't install files your not sure about! Learning new software always sucks!
