Hallo zusammen,

ich habe einmal testen wollen, ob 4.1 OCE in VirtualBox zu installieren geht.

Ja, es geht.

Wermutstropfen: Die VBoxLinuxAdditions lassen sich nicht installieren.

Zwar habe ich die kernel-source installiert (entpackt unter /usr/src) und einen Link mit dem Namen Linux gesetzt.

Dann die /boot/config nach /usr/src/linux als .config kopiert.
Als root in diesem Verzeichnis:
make oldconfig && make prepare

Dann wollte ich die Additions installieren, aber das Programm hat schnell abgebrochen.

Warum? Das würde ich gern einmal wissen.
Die Log-Datei spricht von Fehler 127, aber ich weiss nicht, was ich da machen könnte.

Gibt es eine Lösung oder muss ich aufgeben?

Danke im voraus für Mitdenken und eventuelle Hilfe.

Hallo zusammen,

ich kann einen Efolg melden:

VirtualBox-1.5.0 mit Xandros.

Nicht nur die kernel-sourcen, sondern auch die kernel-headers
waren erforderlich.

Danach konnte ich die VBoxLinuxAddtions installieren.

Nun habe ich Xandros im VollbildModus (1440x900) laufen.

Während ich das schreibe, höre ich mit xmms einen Radio-Stream:
auch das geht bestens.

Da mein Rechner (Neu) eine 64bit-Maschine ist, auf der ich eine 32bit-Linux-Distribution installiert habe, konnte ich VirtualBox installieren.

Mit 2 GB RAM ist es kein Problem, in der VirtualBox mit Xandros zu arbeiten: keinerlei Geschwindigkeitseinbussen.
