Hi Forum my last question to the forum about which Epson All in one Printer was shown that the CX4900 " Worked Perfectly" thanks "Sqlpython" for showing me the link.

I have now checked the number of drivers available for this unit and WOW which one?

Can someone show me the way by writing the procedures for installing the drivers for this unit.
Which drivers from whom and a stage by stage guide to install these drivers. I have no idea how to do this myself but as a retired Elec. Eng. I have time on my hands but the number of articles I have read as made it ..........Oh Dear what next ......

Please, please help me as this is only week two with this operating system.

I have installed Xandros Desktop Home Edition Premium 4.0 (built 2006-06-13 20:19).

My printer is siting here waiting.

The openprinting page for that printer suggests using the CX4700 drivers. I don't have that printer, but I went through the Add Printer wizard (click Launch, Control Center, Printers), selected the Epson CX4700, and it gave me two choices:

Foomatic + gutenprint-ijs-simplified.5.0

and

Foomatic + gutenprint-ijs.5.0

The simplified version was selected by default, so I'd probably try that one first.

Thanks Jim,

I downloaded the new set of drivers off the Xandros Site and installed the one you indicated which was the CX4700.

I installed it and MAGIC we are in working condition.
