I just installed Xandros Professional 4.1 and found that I do not have glxgears. This was the same with the RC1 that is replaced. I have an nVidia Geforce4 ti4200 card and never have had any problems. Has this simple utility been eliminated?

No its still available in XN if you enable the Unsupported Debian repository in XN, but I didn't get any framerates off of it. Maybe your experience will be different. It does get uninstalled with SP1 for some strange reason. _________________

Thanks for the help. I don't remember having to install it before. It was always there. Must be somthing new. I also didn't get any framerates. That may be why they didn't include it in the default install.

Try this command:
glxgears -iacknowledgethatthistoolisnotabenchmark
or
glxgears -printfps
That worked for me. I had to install mesa-utils and I think mesademos to get glxinfo to work.
Found the glxgears fix at http://blog.hades.yoafrica.com/ (had to use the google cached copy).
